This page describes the intended terms and is not legal advice; it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not binding on anyone. It will be finalized before sign-up opens. These terms will govern use of Bare Bones Cooking (the "Service"), operated by [Legal Entity Name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you will agree to these terms.

What the service does

Bare Bones Cooking lets you import recipes you already have, by pasting a link or uploading a photo. We extract the recipe, normalize it to a consistent format, and store it in your own private library. Nothing you store is made public or shared with other accounts.

Your content

You are responsible for the content you import. You confirm that you have the right to bring in the recipes and images you submit for your own personal, private use.

You grant us only the license needed to store, process, and display your imported content back to you, and to send it to our processors (including an AI provider) for extraction and formatting. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not make it public.

We store only the functional parts of an imported recipe: ingredients, quantities, steps, times, yield, and equipment. We do not copy a source's narrative text or its photographs. See the DMCA policy for how we handle infringement claims and the reasoning behind this design.

Account and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 where local law requires it, to create an account. The Service is not directed at children and should not be used by them.

Tiers and quotas

The free tier is a permanently usable product, not a time-limited trial, subject to monthly usage limits described at sign-up and on the pricing page. The paid tier removes ads and raises or removes those limits. Quota values are configuration and may change; you will be told the current limits and when they reset.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to import content you do not have the right to keep a private copy of, to attempt to access another user's library, to abuse the import pipeline (automated bulk imports, scraping the Service itself), or to attempt to circumvent quota or entitlement checks.

Cancellation and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deletion revokes access immediately and permanently removes your data within 30 days, except records we are required to retain for legal or tax purposes.

Disclaimers

Recipes are extracted and normalized with the help of an AI model and may contain errors. Nutrition information is estimated, not laboratory-verified; see the disclaimer shown with every nutrition block. The Service is provided as available, without warranty of any kind.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service develops. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date before they take effect.
